Community Wellness Program
Community Wellness Program (CWP)
The Community Wellness Program is a statewide Prevention and Early Intervention effort to eliminate mental health disparities in the Cambodian community. Through this program, we aim to reduce mental health related stigma and depression related symptoms due to the history of trauma, post-traumatic stress and depression, through our culturally relevant interventions. We will increase social connectedness through peer and social support groups that will involve healing through dance, yoga, and Cambodian specific healing techniques such as holy water blessings, prayer, and/or meditation. The CWP program offers:
- Educational Classes
- Social Support Groups
- Wellness Activities (yoga, exercise, meditation, Tai Chi, art class, and dance)
- Culturally Relevant Activity (water blessing)
- Comprehensive Assessments
- Case Management/Navigation
