  • 2009 – The Santa Ana Federal Empowerment Corporation award of $1.96 million to purchase a new facility
  • 2008 – Bank of America – Local Hero Award (to Rifka Hirsch)
  • 2008 – Santa Ana City Council – Certificate of Recognition for “26 Years of Service to the Minnie Street Community” (to Rifka Hirsch)
  • 2005 – Orange County Board of Supervisors (signed: Supervisor Lou Correa)

Accomplishments in the past year include:

  • 109 at-risk youths and 79 parents developed academic and leadership skills through our youth program, Santa Ana Youth Achievement;
  • 623 clients received 4,550 health screenings, medical interpretation, and other health services through our Healthy Changes Program;
  • 102 community residents received Vocational English as a Second Language training;
  • 518 community residents (311 youths, 207 adults) participated in civic engagement, and violence reduction activities as part of our collaboration with Santa Ana Building Healthy Communities;
